Anti-Chinese riots at Seattle [sic] Wn., February 8th, 1886
First hand account of the anti-Chinese riots that occurred in Seattle in February, 1886. Kinnear was made a Captain of the Home Guards, a local militia that was formed at the suggestion of Kinnear to keep the peace and prevent violence against the Chinese. Includes a list of the Home Guard on duty at the time of the shooting.
