Maid of the sea

Morwenna Pengelly grew up in her grandfather's Cornish cottage. On his death she is sent to live with her aunt, but never forgets her childhood friend Tom Edwards. However, rebelling against her aunt's values, Morwenna strikes out on her own. Tom and Morwenna's renewed friendship blossoms into love, but in 1914 he goes to war and Morwenna is drawn to the Irishman Kieran Doyle, unaware that he holds a great secret. But, whilst she throws herself into war work, Kieran betrays her trust in the most vicious way possible. Meanwhile, Tom is captured by the enemy and suffers amnesia. Will Morwenna find happiness with either man?
