The Cambridge Companion to Ralph Waldo Emerson provides an important introduction to pastor and poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson, author of Nature and The Conduct of Life. He was a transcendentalist in philosophy, a rationalist in religion, and an advocate of spiritual individualism.
