The Structural examination
Procedures appropriate to the initial screening exam are demonstrated throughout all regions of the body in standing, seated and supine positions. Symmetries of structure, tissue and motion are examined in a sequence of visual observation, tissue palpation and gross motion testing. The goal of the initial screen is to alert the physician to the need for further observation of the patient (including subjective and objective tests).
