Heathers unerschrockene Mörderjagd scheint nämlich Coopers Interesse zu wecken, allerdings nur um sie mit aller Kraft am Ermitteln zu hindern ... Frisch, frech und sexy! Zumindest eins ist das Leben von Heather Wells nicht: langweilig. Selbst jetzt noch, nachdem sie ihre Karriere als Teenidol an den Haken gehängt hat, weil sie keine Lust mehr hatte, sich auf áModellmaß Magerstufeá herunterzuhungern, steckt sie bis über beide Ohren im Chaos - und in den Schokoriegeln. Die niedlichen Schoko-Pfunde machen ihr keine Sorgen, wohl aber ihr neuer Job als Hausmeisterin in einem Studentenwohnheim, mit dem sie sich ihre Ausbildung finanziert. Es ist doch erstaunlich, was für Blödsinn sich Jugendliche 24 Stunden am Tag und sieben Tage die Woche so einfallen lassen. Das zweite Chaoselement heißt Cooper Cartwright und hat den sexiesten Po von New York City! Aber wenn Heather ganz ehrlich zu sich ist, dann muss sie zugeben, dass Cooper eigentlich gar kein Problem ist: Es gibt nämlich keinerlei Anzeichen dafür, dass der breitschultrige Privatdetektiv auch nur das geringste romantische Interesse an ihr hat. Obwohl er dazu wahrlich viel Gelegenheit hätte, denn Cooper ist nicht nur der Bruder ihres treulosen Exverlobten, er ist außerdem ihr Vermieter. Das alles ändert sich rasant, als plötzlich eine von Heathers Studentinnen tot im Aufzugsschacht aufgefunden wird und alle an einen Unfall glauben. Nur eben Heather nicht. Also macht Heather sich mit Schwung, Witz und Mut allein auf die Mördersuche.
