Inside, outside Richard S. Weinstein
Weinstein was born in New York City on Nov. 30, 1932 and received three MAs: in clinical psychology from Columbia (1955), from Harvard Univ. Grad. Sch. of Design (1958) and in architecture from U. of Pennsylvania (1960). He has worked in the administration of projects in New York City (1966-74 and 1978-84); was director of the NY Museum expansion (1975-77); President of Richard S. Weinstein Assocs. (1976- ) and of New Sources of Funding (1978-82); he came to UCLA as Dean of the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning (1985-94) and continues as professor (1985- ). He has received numerous awards and honors for his work and has been involved in professional activities associated with his career interests.
