The immigrant ancestor was Joshua Moodey (1633-1697), who immigrated in 1634 with his parents from England to Newbury, Massachusetts. He was educated at Harvard, and preached in Boston and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Descendants and relatives listed lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and elsewhere.
