Ancient Greek myths & legends

There are many heroes in the myths and legends of ancient Greece, but none is more popular than Heracles, son of Zeus, who was king of the gods and god of thunder and lightning. In "The Twelve Labors of Heracles," Heracles has to complete twelve tasks to become one of the gods on Mount Olympus.
