Fresh, contemporary, and unconventional photography: that's what the Swiss city of Zurich has stood for since the early 1990s. The art scene and print media eagerly soak up the trends it sets. Driving force behind this development is the Photography Program at the School of Art and Design Zurich, where experimental confrontations are pursued with a passion. Thanks to the success of the program, a culture of photography has evolved in Zurich whose international charisma has a vitality that few other cities can boast of. Photography, Made in Zurich presents photographs by sixty graduates and students, hereby gathering a representative cross section of recent photographic work produced in Zurich.
