Thomas Addis Emmet (1764-1827) married Jane Patten in 1791 in Dublin, Ireland, and after some years as an Irish exile, he and his family immigrated in 1804 from Paris, France to New York City. He and his father, Robert Emmet, were active in Irish independence movements. Descendants and relatives lived in New York and elsewhere. Includes family history and genealogy in Ireland to the 1600s, with some ancestry in Scotland also.
