The first are the general orders (1813-1831, 1844-1847), consisting of copies of orders, and occasionally copies of letters out from the Adjutant General relating to organizational structure of the militia; rules and regulations; appointment, promotion and resignation of officers; courtmartial proceedings; and elections. Includes oaths, October 18, 1809-December 27, 1813. The second set of records are militia laws of the Territory of Michigan (1833), printed by S. M'Knight and signed by C. Thayen.
