Also included are records of the Nauvoo Legion (later also called the Utah Militia), the Mormon Battalion, and the personal correspondence of Whitney, his wife, Elizabeth Ann; his sons; Orson K., Joshua K., Horace K., Don Carlos, and Newel Melchezidek; his daughters; Anna Maria and Mary Jane Whitney Groo, as well as her husband, Isaac Groo.
