Their courses inexorably converge in the Graveyard, the border realm lying between the Polity and the Prador Kingdom, a place filled with the ruins left by past genocides and interplanetary war. But this is the home of the Golgoloth, monster to a race of monsters, the place where a centuries-long cold war is being fought. Meanwhile, the terrifying Prador King is coming, prepared to do anything to ensure Vrell's death and keep certain deadly secrets buried ... and somewhere out there something that has annihilated civilizations is stirring from a slumber of five million years."--Publishers' description."
  • "This is a follow-up to "The Voyage of the Sable Keech" tracing the journey of an Old Captain, Orbus - a sadist in charge of a crew of masochists - to a planetary wasteland called The Graveyard lying between the Polity and the Prador Kingdom. An ancient war drone by the name of Sniper has stowed away aboard his spaceship, and the purpose of the journey is not entirely what the captain expected. Also heading in the same direction is the Prador king and the Prador Vrell. Vrell, having been mutated by the Spatterjay virus into something powerful and dangerous, has seized control of a Prador dreadnought, killing much of its crew, and is intent on heading back to the Prador Third Kingdom to exact vengeance on the King of the Prador, who tried to have him killed. All three ships are heading towards a climatic confrontation to The Graveyard, where underlying truths about the virus are revealed and an ancient menace to civilization reappears."
  • ""Yet another storming performance from the prolific Asher of high-octane violence, exotic tech, and terrifying and truly alien aliens." - Daily Mail In the third installment of the Spatterjay series, the old Captain Orbus, now in charge of a cargo spaceship, flees from a violent and sadistic past. Little does he know, however, that Sniper, a lethal war drone, is a stowaway on his ship. From the mind of author Neal Asher, Orbus continues the story of the mutated Spatterjay virus, which has turned Captain Orbus's old enemy, the Prador Vrell, into something more powerful and dangerous than he could ever imagine. Vrell has seized control of a dreadnought, slaughtered its entire crew, and is now out to seek vengeance on those who tried to have him killed. On the Graveyard, the border realm lying between the Polity and the Prador kingdom, Vrell and Orbus will soon cross paths. With a race of monsters from Golgoloth beginning a long cold war between his kind and the humans, the annihilation of civilizations is upon all, and no one knows what is truly to come. Orbus is a nonstop ride between bloody battles and vengeance that only Neal Asher can cover, and like the earlier books in the series ( The Skinner and The Voyage of the Sable Keech ), Orbus is definitely a can't-miss book."@en
