  • "James Isaac Dalyrympe (1815-1882) was born in Sussex County, New Jersey, the son of John Dalrymple (1775-1826) and Delight Culver Dalrymple. He migrated to Knox County, Ohio, with his parents in 1820. He married Elizabeth Hazen in 1835 in Morrow County, Ohio. They had eight children, 1836-1858. The family migrated to Kosciusko County, Indiana, in 1858. The family migrated west in 1858, and returned to Washington County, Kansas, in 1859. They moved to Montana in 1864 and returned to Washington County, in 1866. He died at Hanover, Kansas, and is buried at Barnes, Kansas. Elizabeth Hazen (1818-1892) was born at Mt. Gilead, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel Hazen (1777- 1853) and Elizabeth DeWitt Hazen (1775-1850)."@en

Sebastian J. Terfethen, a widower, arrived from Whiteside County, Illinois, and James Isaac and Elizabeth Hazen Dalrymple, arrived from Kosciusko County, Indiana. Within the next 15 years, at least three marriage occured between the two families."@en
  • "Sebastian J. Trefethen (1801-1875) was born at Rye, New York, the son of William Trefethen (1751-1820) and Elizabeth Tucker Trefethen (1753-1837). He and Elizabeth Locke were married at Rye in 1835. They had six children, 1836-1847, all born in New Hampshire. The family migrated to Lee County, Illinois, in 1848, and to Washington County, Kansas, ca. 1859. He died at Alton, Kansas. Elizabeth Locke (1808-1853) was born at Rye, the daughter of Joseph Locke (1775-1853) and Lucy Marden Locke (1776-1813). She died in Lee County, Illinois."@en
