"Le film débute pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale alors quℓune jeune femme écrit une lettre à son ami de cℓur, un soldat se trouvant sur lℓun des fronts européens, pour lui annoncer quℓelle nℓest plus capable dℓattendre son retour et quℓà regret elle doit mettre fin à leur relation. Comble de malchance, le shérif de la petite ville est en vacances et ce sera à son adjoint, aidé par sa petite amie, à tenter de mettre fin aux sinistres activités du psychopathe."
