Combining original footage, interviews and dramatic re-enactments, this film accompanies 3 Canadians as they return to Europe to relive their wartime experiences. Recalls the Warsaw uprising, the Normandy campaign and the liberation of the Oberlangen concentration camp. Chronicles the shared military history of Canada and Poland, and gives voice to the many Polish women, especially resistance fighter, Krystyna Wituska, who served in the underground.
