"General description of the collection: Charles A. Hunt photograph collection is a two-part collection. The largest and most useful part is from the career of Colonel Charles A. Hunt. It includes a photo of the 12th Infantry Regiment officers in 1904 and an album taken in the Philippines in 1912, which includes schools for Filipino children, domestic views and ethnic studies. The numerous WWI photos include Signal Corps photos, postcard format photos and commercial picture postcards. There are three photos of staff groups in the late 1920s to 1931. The second part of the collection is composed of less than 50 photos from the career of Colonel Richard J. Hunt from the 1950s to 1961. These all reflect his service in Western Europe, including ceremonies and political functions in Holland, and General James M. Gavin visiting the 172nd Infantry in Europe in 1953."
