  • "Millionaire optometrist Robert Graham believed that many intellectuals were dying childless, yet 'less intelligent' people were constantly reproducing. His dream was to bring thousands of geniuses into the world to ensure the future of the human race. To achieve this end he established a Repository for Germinal Choice - a sperm bank stocked full of 'donations' solicited from some of the world's most brilliant men. This is the story of an endeavour that many agree laid the foundations for the modern sperm bank and reignites the debate regarding 'designer' babies. Just how far can we go in our desire to design our children?"
  • "Documentary about the 'Genius Sperm Bank' (official name Repository for Germinal Choice) of Robert Graham in Southern California. Graham set up his Nobel sperm bank in 1979 but was faced with the problem that "Nobel Laureats were few and far between and suspicious of people who asked for their sperm". He did manage to find numerous other donors and this programme looks at some of the off-spring of these 'geniuses'. Lisa Zerr tracks down the father of her daughter Paisley and they arrange to meet, but are disappointed in the man's apparent lack of interest. He is Jason Kaiser, on a mission to father as many children as possible in order to aid good breeding (yes, really). The programme looks briefly at the Eugenics movement of the early 20th century."
