Yandell, disease, slavery, the secession crisis, and the Civil War. In addition to correspondence, the collection also includes lectures of Lunsford P. Yandell, material about his father Wilson Yandell, notes for medical biographies, diaries of Lunsford P. Yandell, and a scrapbook.
