John Nash's beautiful mind

Interviewed by Mike Wallace, Nash and his wife, Alicia, address questions about his character that media exposis claim have been left out of the film, A beautiful mind, starring Russell Crowe: such as Nash's homosexuality, anti-Semitism and the charge that he is a bad father--all charges he denies. Nash vigorously denies being anti-Semitic, but says that he may have said things while delusional from schizophrenia that could be construed as anti-Semitic "I did have strange ideas during certain periods of time," he says, adding that he heard voices in his head while the disease was at its height. "It's really my subconscious talking. I know that now." Both Nash and his wife also deny that he is homosexual, but Nash refuses to go into detail. And while Nash may have ignored a son from a previous relationship, he says he and the child are now close. In fact, Nash gave him a share of the royalties he made from the film. Nash's son with Alicia, Johnny, who also suffers from schizophrenia, lives at home with his parents and was also interviewed for the special.
