Captain Blas Maria de la Garza Falcon : colonizer of south Texas
A biography of Blas María de la Garza Falcón born in 1712 near Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico the son of Governor Blas de la Garza Falcón III (1673-1736) and Doña Beatriz de Villarreal. He married 1 Jan 1731 Doña Catarina Gómez de Castro. He died in 1767 in Camargo, Tamps., Mexico. He helped to colonize southern Texas, explored the coast and established a mission to christen the Indians.
