The runaway

Afraid all the time: Jane Baum left the big city for the country with romantic notions about the small farm she inherited. After eight months, the mysterious nature of the land puts her in a constant state of panic. The truckers who drive by, the farm animals that may have rabies, and the sheer openness of the land worries Jane on a daily basis. Her nieces balk at her caution about the country. Having spent their entire lives on farmland, the girls think her fears are irrational. After they sneak out of the house for the night, they discover some reasons for their aunt's fear.
