Perkins, Jr., Samuel Appleton and George Ticknor, of Boston, and John S. Cogdell of Charleston, of the third part. The painting became part of the Boston Athenaeum collection. With a letter, 1923 Jan. 8, from Arthur Fairbanks to Charles K. Bolton conveying the gift on behalf of Judge Almy.
