The descendants of Anthony Day of Gloucester, Mass., 1645

Anthony Day (ca. 1616-1707) emigrated from England and settled at Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1645. He and his wife, Susanna, had nine children, 1651-1672. Their great grandson, Pelatiah Day (1748-1816), was born at Goucester, the son of Samuel Day (b. 1706). He married three times and was the father of eight children, 1775-after 1792. The family lived in New Salem, Massachusetts. While the record chiefly follows male lines only, some surnames of married daughters in these families are also included. Descendants listed lived in Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Indiana, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and elsewhere.
