Erst eine angemessene Passung von individuellen Gegebenheiten (Be dürfnissen und Kompetenzen) und Kontextbedingungen schafft günstige Voraussetzungen für die Entwicklung von Kindern. Andernfalls können gerade in Zeiten dramatischen Umbruchs Risikofaktoren akkumulieren, weil die individuelle Entwicklung durch verschiedene Kontexte (Familie, Schule, Altersgleiche) beeinflußt wird. Diese Tatsache kann allerdings auch bedeu ten, daß Krisen im makroökonomischen Bereich durch sozio-emotionale Unterstützungsfaktoren im unmittelbaren Kontext der Familie und Schule aufgefangen werden, so daß sich keine negativen Auswirkungen auf Kinder ergeben. Dies ist durch einige Ergebnisse in dem Berichtsteil .. Kindheit" (vgl. Trommsdorff & Chakkarath 1996) deutlich geworden und entspricht im übrigen neueren entwicklungspsychologischen Befunden (vgl. EIder 1974; EIder & Caspi 1991; Conger et al. 1992; 1994).
