CCGS W.E. Ricker Gulf of Alaska salmon survey, June 20-July 5, 2007
This report documents the survey done by the Highseas Program of Fisheries and Oceans Canada completed from June 20-July 5, 2007. The main objectives of the survey were (1) the distribution and ecology of Pacific salmon (Oncorhynchus spp.) during their ocean phase, (2) describe the ambient oceanographic conditions, and (3) distribution and biomass of zooplankton. At this time, stations also conducted fish, oceanographic, and zooplankton sampling down from the west coast of Vancouver Island to Southeast Alaska. Materials and methods, including general survey information and fishing gear and fishing operations, are provided in the survey, but statistical tables are primarily given in reflection of provided information.--Includes text from document.
