  • "Ralph is the only mouse living at the Mountain View Inn who owns a motorcycle'which means he has the perfect opportunity to explore the mysterious "summer camp" nearby. Ralph isn't sure what a summer camp is, but he's determined to find out. One night, fed up with his younger relatives' pesky demands to borrow his motorcycle, he takes off for Happy Acres Camp. But once he gets there, he's confronted by a watchdog, a grouchy gopher, and an entire family of cats. Then he's captured by an unhappy boy named Garf. Ralph is desperate to escape . . . but maybe he needs to help Garf before Garf can help him. Beverly Cleary's plucky Ralph rides his motorcycle straight to adventure in this classic, newly reissued with illustrations by Jacqueline Rogers."@en

  • ""The rousing notes of the bugle and the laughter and shouting increased the feeling of rebellion within Ralph. As the last strains of the bugle call hovered in the clear mountain air, Ralph made up his mind. He knew now what he was going to do. He was going to run away.Fed up with his timid mother and uncle and his squirmy little cousins, Ralph hops onto his toy motorcycle and zooms down the road to summer camp. It turns out camp is not all peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and fun. A strict watchdog, a mouse-hungry cat, and a troubled boy named Garf lead Ralph on some fur-raising escapades. Perhaps home isn't such a bad place to be, if only Ralph can find a way to get there again."@en
  • "From KIDS FIRST!: Ralph and his motorcycle have entertained kids for decades, and this DVD brings the fun into your home for the entire family to enjoy together. Starring young Fred Savage, Summer Phoenix, Sara Gilbert, Kellie Martin, Mark Hamill and Nichelle Nichols, ?Runaway Ralph? is a delight for all ages. Ralph, a young mouse, decides that he?s going to run away from the hotel his family lives in so he sets out on his toy motorcycle and ends out in a camp where he meets Garf. Things aren?t so great when a mean cat appears in the picture. As Garf and Ralph bond and try to deal with the cat they learn lessons about teamwork, friendship and also come to realize that home might not be such a bad place after all. ?Runaway Ralph? inspires children to find reasonable, positive solutions to problems and addresses issues such as making friends and resolving conflict in non-violent ways and overcoming fears. It?s appropriately pace and engages and entertains bother adults and children. Child Juror Comments: This was a fun movie to watch because the mouse thought he could do anything then he saw a car and fell on his motorcycle. He was almost eaten by a cat. The good thing is that he made a friend at the camp. My friends would like this because it?s about a mouse who runs away. Mice are cool. Everything looked good except for the mouse and cat. They were fake. The cat was mean to the mouse. Ralph was mean to his siblings at first, but other than that, everyone was nice. Ralph was kind to his siblings at the end. My favorite part was when Ralph tied up the cat. He was tricky."
