The Wingless bird

Based on the novel by Dame Catherine Cookson, THE WINGLESS BIRD stars Claire Skinner as Agnes Conway, a spunky working-class shopgirl who dreams of molding herself into an aristocrat. The ambitious Agnes befriends the upper-crust Farrier family, but at the same time finds herself mixed up with the notorious Felton family when she comes to the aid of her sister, whose affair with the roguish Robbie Felton threatens to ruin them both.
