The idea that the American economy has been, and will continue to be, vitally dependent upon the health of its manufacturing sector is examined in this program, which looks at three different American companies that are restructuring their organizations. The program looks at each company-- Ameritech, Goodyear, and Sun Microsystems-- and explores what steps they have taken to restructure their business and what the consequences have been.
