Wastewise construction program : waste reduction guidelines
This booklet aims to facilitate national waste reduction processes through practical guidelines to assist the construction and demolition (C & D) industry. It is based upon developing notions of best practice waste reduction for construction and demolition projects at all scales of operation (chapter 1). It also raises issues of better waste management practices (chapter 2) for a wider range of stakeholders including developers, design professionals, suppliers, waste contractors and collectors. Thus it intends to give both practical guidance and greater understanding of waste management and reduction practices. It is part of the wider government, industry and community concern with environmental issues, use of resources, and best practice means of addressing these concerns.
