A study of Humboldt County blacktail deer by HSU wildlife researchers revealing the current status of these deer, providing baseline data against which future studies can be compared as a way to judge changes and trends of deer in Humboldt County. Footage is shown of procedures used in gathering the results of outdoor field autopsy and lab autopsy to determine physical condition, reproductive status, and parasite burdens. The three study areas are: Big Lagoon, Kneeland Area, Kings Range Conservation Area.
