In the group portraits Hutson is seen with, among others, Langston Hughes, John Killens, Dr. James E. Allen, Robert F. Wagner, Betty Granger, James E. Hinton and J.A. Rogers. Also included in the collection are photos taken at Hutson's retirement party in 1985 showing her gifts, NYPL president Vavtan Gregorian and some Schomburg Center staff. Two contact sheets show Hutson at the Schomburg Center and arriving somewhere in an airplane. Half, three-quarter and full-length views are included.
