Er ist wissbegieriger Entdecker seiner Welt und genauster Beobachter, wenn es um die Welt der Erwachsenen geht. Schließlich sind sie es, die ihm Antworten auf seine brennenden Fragen verwehren, so dass er den Dingen selbst auf die Spur gehen muss. Bis der Junge entdeckt, dass seine Eltern an einem Entführungsfall beteiligt sind, hat der Zuschauer alle Figuren der Geschichte genauestens kennen gelernt. Auch wenn die Spannungselemente in diesem Film nicht willkürlich eingesetzt sind, so gibt es sicherlich zwei Szenen, bei denen dem Zuschauer der Schreck in die Glieder fahren kann. Zu Beginn, wenn Michele den Eingang des Erdlochs entdeckt und auf dessen Bewohner stößt. Und im Finale, wenn Michele den Erwachsenen bei ihrer Abschlussaktion zuvorkommen will. - Micheles spannende Entdeckungsgeschichte ist gleichzeitig eine Geschichte über das Älterwerden.
