Story of the Hutchinsons : (tribe of Jesse)

Richard Hutchinson, born in 1602, left England with his wife (Alice) and four children in 1634 and settled in Salem Village, now Danvers, Massachusetts. He married three times, the last when he was seventy-nine years old. Richard died in 1682. His son Joseph, and three succeeding Josephs, continue the line to Elisha, who was born at Middleton, 6 December 1751. He was of the sixth generation. On 10 November 1772, he married Sarah Buxton. In 1779 he left Middleton and settled near the present site of Milford, New Hampshire. He died in Milford 12 October 1800. Descendants settled mainly in New England.
