"Holocaust survivor Rosa Katz recounts her experience as a young girl in the Lodz (Poland) ghetto, and in Auschwitz in 1994. She narrowly escaped an Auschwitz gas chamber because of a Nazi mix-up that caused her to be sent to Berlin from Auschwitz, then to another concentration camp in Ravensbruck, from which she was liberated by the Swiss Red Cross. Sequences of Ms. Katz are interspersed with historical background narration over historical stills and film footage. Performer: Narrator, Jeffrey Golden ; interviewee, Rosa Katz. Notes: Distributed in Australia by: Commonwealth, Vic : Learning Essentials."
"Using photos, footage, and narrative, this program puts the history of the Holocaust into a clear perspective for young adults to understand."
