Keynote speaker was Ms. Dorothy Cotton. The program was held in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m ... Ms. Cotton worked closely with Dr. King during the civil rights movement. She actively participated as a former director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the organization Dr. King had led. Much of her work with the SCLC involved citizenship training, where she taught that under the Constitutuion all people are entitled to the same rights regardless of race.
