This collection consists of papers accumulated by Ira Adams during his tenure on the Mackinac Island State Park Commission (1895-1929), though some of the papers are from earlier periods. The collection contains the "Record book", or minutes of the Commission for 1895-1929; correspondence and reports received by Adams for 1914-1929 relating to the island and the work of the Commssion; plans for road construction; financial statements; list of improvements made to the Park; proposal for addition of a golf course; analysis of the makes of cars and residence of campers visiting Michilimackinac State Park at Mackinaw City in 1927; and papers concerning the water supply to the Park. The collections is arranged chronologically.
