Accident of birth

Reba Freeman loves her husband Carl and the security he has provided her and her daugher. But she also still has strong feelings for her first husband Joseph Thomas, a Liberian student she met in college. Joseph left Reba after two years of marriage and returned to his native country to become a school teacher. Now, he is accused of committing crimes against humanity by an international court of law. Reba believes Joseph is innocent, and so she decides she must risk her comfortable life to help a man she loved a long time ago.
