The distinctive Black college : Talladega, Tuskegee, and Morehouse
Three predominantly black colleges that became successful, effective, and highly regarded are Talladega College, Tuskegee Institute, and Morehouse College. The unique character of these three institutions is examined using Burton Clark's paradigm of the distinctive college in investigating their institutional histories. Unlike much previous research on Black colleges, the study uses case study and comparative research techniques, and is analytical rather than descriptive.(MSE).
