Eye of the dictator

This is the story of German cameramen during the Nazi period from the early thirties through to the end of the war told through interviews illustrated with footage shot by them. During the war more than one-third were killed at the front. Those that survived rarely if ever saw their film. Goebbels exercised complete control over the production of newsreels which were instruments for propaganda.
