"Jolson, a tramp living in New York's Central Park, is friends with the mayor (Frank Morgan). The mayor's mistress (Madge Evans) attempts suicide after an argument and Jolson saves her. After the experience, she develops amnesia and the two fall in love and move in together while Jolson "reforms." One day, however, Morgan contacts Jolson, saying he misses his mistress and wanting to see her. When they meet, Evans forgets ever having met Jolson and her amnesia vanishes."@en
