Charles Parke (ca. 1741-ca. 1820) was the son of Nathan Parke (ca. 1714- ca. 1785) of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and Rowan County, North Carolina. He and his wife, Catherine E., had ten children, 1767- ca. 1790. The family migrated from New Jersey to Rowan County, North Carolina, between 1772 and 1775 and to Madison County, Kentucky, 1795-1796. His will, written 1818, was proved in Madison County in 1820. Descendants lived in Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and elsewhere, and spelled their surname Parke, Parks, and Park.
