Battle for music

Relates the story of the London Philharmonic Orchestra as told and played by its members. When England goes to war with Germany, the government decrees that for the safety of its people, all public gatherings are to be banned, with the result that the orchestra must be disbanded. The manner in which the various interested parties come together to maintain the orchestra in spite of the conflicts and crises which surround them makes for a memorable drama.
