"Als Tibbe, de journalist, in aanraking komt met juffrouw Minoes, is het zoeken naar nieuwtjes voor de krant geen probleem meer. Minoes spreekt en verstaat "kats" omdat ze zelf vroeger een kat is geweest."
"Juvenile film adapted from Annie M.G. Schmidt's book by the same name. The smart high heels and green lady's suit don't lead one to suspect that Miss Minoes is actually a cat. So Mr. Tibbe, a timid newspaper journalist in the town of Killendoorn, is greatly surprised when one fine day he saves this remarkable lady from a tree. Fine material for a news item, Tibbe thinks, but his boss thinks differently. If Tibbe doesn't report on more substantial matters, he will be fired. Minoes is a little odd. She claims she is feline, she communicates with cats, nuzzles up to them and purrs, and the neighbourhood cats keep her abreast of the latest from Killendoorn, which is very convenient to Tibbe. In exchange for board and lodging, Minoes becomes Tibbe's personal assistant. When they find out that the factory manager, the city's benefactor, does things that are impermissible, the whole town is thrown into confusion."
