The big night: a teenager comes of age while seeking revenge on the man who beat up his father. The sleeping tiger: A psychotherapist decides to try and rehabilitate an ex-convict by inviting him into his home, in order to work with him in exchange for not turning him into the police, for his attempted break-in. The criminal: an ex-con who's taken part in the robbery of a racetrack is caught and sent back to prison, but he won't tell his fellow gang members where he's stashed the loot. Eva: a bitter writer living the good life in Rome should celebrate his success. But he meets his match in a mad, bored seductoress. The servant: a tale of hypocrisy and hatred until a corrupt servant becomes the master. Accident: a lonely Oxford don is frustrated in his attempt to secure the affection of an amoral female student. The go between: a boy on the verge of manhood is used as a pawn in the illicit affair between a beautiful aristocrat and the working class farmer she loves. Mr Klein: French-Catholic art dealer Robert Klein exploits Jews desperate for money in Paris, 1942. However, he becomes desperate himself when he is mistaken for a Jew.
