Andrew Greele (ca.1617-1697) immigrated to Salisbury, Massachusetts during or before 1638, and married Mary Moyse. Samuel Greeley (1716- 1785), direct descendant in the fourth generation, was the first to begin using Greeley as the surname spelling. Descendants and rela- tives lived in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Kansas and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.
