"The search for a stolen boat leads the Hardy brothers to Mexico where they become involved with a band of Indians and a strange smuggling operation. Their deductions lead them to a small Mexican town where they learn that people are mysteriously disappearing. They eventually realize the Indians have something to do with it. The Hardy boys set out to Mexico to ask the citizens of Mazatlan what they happened to the hostages. But, the people who had taken the citizens had threatened the people that if they talk, they will be killed. So this brings the Hardy Boys to a hard puzzle. They finally find a man by the name of Tico. Tico is a great navigator and helps the Hardy Boys find the culprits. Tico also knew some information about the kidnappings. They find out the real man behind it was a man name "Pavura" which means terror in Spanish. They also find out that he was smuggling oil out of Mexico. Their dad, Mr. Hardy, was on a case that involved oil smuggling."@en
