El predicador

Semon Dye es un predicador itinerante. Circulando por el estado de Georgia, su coche le deja tirado a la entrada de la propiedad de Clay Horey. A partir de aquí solo habrá problemas. Los habitantes de Rocky Comfort le acogen, al fin y al cabo la única iglesia del pequeño pueblo se usa para almacenar fertilizantes. Pero Dye no tarda en seducir esposas y ex esposas, beberse todo el whisky, hacer trampa a los dados, ostentar armas y ocultar solo a medias su pasado de convicto. A pesar de su conducta nadie parece capaz de pararlo: el pueblo entre en trance cada vez que usa la palabra divina.
