"Summary: Lynn Johnston's comic strip "For better or for worse" appears in some 500 newspapers all over the world. Her husband, Rod, is a dentist and they live in a small mining town in northern Manitoba. In this film she talks about her career, and of the difficulty of juggling fame and fortune with her role as wife and mother. She discusses her working methods and, though she emphasizes that Elly, the main character in "For better or for worse" is very different from her, the film affords a glimpse of the real lives that feed the comic strip.
