Mark's gospel : lectures and lessons

Mark's gospel provides an interesting blend of theology, history, and literature. In this text, Professor Garrett C. Kenney explores Mark's gospel in eight lectures that test the student's comprehension of a lecture and facilitate an increase in skills for biblical research and interpretation. Lectures One, Two, and Three provide a foundational lecture on the theology, history, and literature of Mark's gospel. Lectures Four and Five address the basics of the structure, plot development, characterization, and rhetoric in Mark. Lecture Six addresses the concerns of studying Mark first, independent of the other gospels, as an advantage. An overview is then provided within Lecture Six of twenty Christian gospels, canonical and non-canonical, and their plausible connections to Mark.
